A single story rear extension with patio and garage alterations.

What we did

This single story rear extension to a beautiful Tudor style property in Petts Wood provides a wonderful living space. The extension goes out to 4 meters and the full width of the house. We knocked though the kitchen and dining room sides and extended the existing kitchen through into the newly built extension. The 3 electric operated Velux windows and glass lantern provide tonnes of natural light with the brick slip wall and exposed steel giving it a warm, rustic feel. Full underfloor heating system negates the need for radiators maximising wall space. The client also specified a few nice extra touches for the island, including a pop up socket disguised in the granite work top and instant hot at filtered water tap for the sink. On the outside we re-created the patio area using their existing York stone slabs with replacement of fence and new steps and flower beds.
